Club Saraperos de Saltillo
The Saraperos of Saltillo arrived to the Mexican Baseball League in 1970, holding 3 Championships, in 1980, 2009 and 2010; in addition to 6 Subchampionships in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1988, 2004 and 2005.
In 2019, César H. Cantú García, is named Chairman of the Board of Directors of Club Saraperos de Saltillo. The vision of acquiring the ownership of the team is to recover the identity with the great Saraperos fans, with the aim of returning foreground to a team full of history and tradition, aspiring to another Championship.
At Alianza, we believe in engaging and supporting our communities through initiatives, programs, and activities designed to help people live their best possible lives.
Education is a must for a promising and secure future and a stable life. The more educated we are, the better we live. Further, Alianza Group supports Monterrey Technological Institute Scholarship Fund, established for Mexican students and entrepreneurs aspiring to enroll in undergraduate programs, helping them reach a whole new world of opportunities.

It is said, “the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, but the next best time is today”. Most often when you sit under a tree today it’s because someone planted a tree a long time ago. At Alianza, we are proud to say that the Urban Forest, comprised of 5,000+ newly planted trees, is the backbone of Derramadero City.

In 1974, Mr. Cesar H. Cantu B. and family founded a group of Agricultural Technology companies. Shortly afterward, their footprint expanded to Latin-America and other countries such as the USA, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, and Ghana. In 2007, they successfully completed an M&A transaction with a Japanese-British Fund.
Bio
Cesar H. Cantu is President and Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Alianza (www.alianzamx.com). He graduated from Monterrey Tec in 1995, earning his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture. He was responsible for creating the first strategic alliance between Monterrey Tec and Texas A&M during his one-year student exchange program. Afterward, he joined Grupo Bioquimico Mexicano, an agricultural supplies company founded by his father, where he worked his way up to become CEO.
Today, Cantu has a leading role in expanding Derramadero City, Saltillo Metro Area’s top growing industrial zone, home for companies such as Fiat-Chrysler (www.fcagroup.com), Daimler (www.daimler.com), Saint-Gobain and 50 more that had created more than 17,000 jobs.
Cantu is a board member and counselor for various private, public and non-profit organizations. Among them are: Mexico’s Central Bank, Banxico (www.banxico.org.mx); Banorte Grupo Financiero (www.banorte.com); and Mexico’s main development bank, and former president of NAFINSA of the state of Coahuila. The city of San Antonio and the Council for Economic Development invited him to become a member of the Free Trade Alliance for the economic expansion of the entity; as well as the commercial exchange between countries.
